Bound in contemporary calf on paste boards, with five raised bands edged with gold on the spine; brown leather spine label ('Pamphlets') tooled in gold in second compartment; vol. no. (2) stamped in third compartment (originally stamped as '1'); remaining compartments stamped with a floral motif; all board edges tooled in blind.
Condition notes:
Upper joint split at tail end; lacks tailcap; headcap split and coming away; corners rubbed and bending inwards; both boards heavily rubbed, especially in the centre and at the edges; tail board edge of upper board heavily rubbed so that calf has split.
